research paper
The topic of my research paper is about how the movies, " to Kill a Mockingbird" and "In the Heat of the Night" changed the racist culture into a culture of racial equality. My topic is currently a huge impact in american culture. Black people began as slaves and now we have an african american running our country. i would say that culture has changed. the two movies that i am using to support my topic are very closely related. the conflict of both movies is a black man being accused of a crime because of the color of his skin. these movies are so unique because they were the first movies to come out that showed how all white people stereotype black people. and in both of these movies the black people are the ones doing good. my topic much relevance in the government and sports today in our society.

close reading
the title of my close reading essay is the "Ultimate Truth". the purpose or goal of my essay is to prove that the truth that he is seeking is his love and passion. i use epigraphs from chapters 7, 11, and 12 express that krakauer is trying to show deeper into christopher; deeper in his so that you are in his shoes. to show why he makes the decisions he makes and why he thinks the way he. i feel like i did a good job with picking the epigraphs. they are have a significant relation to how chris may think and feel. i also give great insight into how it is effective. the things that i need to shape up with this paper is to stay on topic. i feel like i say randoms things sometimes, as well as repeat myself. i need to make my paper flow. it is very wavy in my opinion.

Krakauer
Krakauers self expression can make you believe that he is writing off of his experience, but Krakauer did have a journal as well as books he highlighted. In the epigraphs Krakauer puts highlighted passaged that gives insight into what he thought. This gives creditability to Krakauer's words about Chris but only the words related to the epigraphs. I think that Krakauer's self-expression gives him more credibility because he has a similar story to Chris. Even though Krakauer may have been trying to related Chris to himself in his writing, the intelligence level and the way that these two individuals think are very similar. they read similar books which gave them similar views on the world. Krakauer's story is very similar to Chris's story which make readers question Krakauer's credibility, but I feel that Krakauer's self expression give more insight into Chirs's story because he had experienced something similar as well as the fact that they read similar books.
